When can I cancel a scheduled visit?

Understanding our visit cancellation policy

We understand that life happens, and sometimes you need to reschedule. Here's what you need to know about canceling a scheduled Birdwatch visit.

The basics

If you need to cancel a visit, we ask that you give us at least 24 hours' notice. This helps us adjust schedules and give other members the service slots they need.

You can cancel or reschedule anytime through the Birdwatch app or by contacting our support team.

Cancellation fees

Whether a cancellation fee applies depends on the type of visit and your membership tier:

Visit types

  • Standard and Diagnostic visits: $150 cancellation fee applies if canceled within 24 hours of the scheduled time*

  • Specialty visits: A $300 cancellation fee applies if canceled within 24 hours of the scheduled time*

  • Network provider visits: $150 cancellation fee (or the provider's standard fee, whichever is higher) may apply if canceled within 24 hours

* Fees are assessed per technician scheduled to work

Project work: Cancellation fees do not apply to project-based work.

Your membership tier matters

Your membership tier includes cancellation flexibility:

  • Lite members: You can cancel up to 1 visit per year without a fee, even within the 24-hour window

  • Core members: You can cancel up to 2 visits per year without a fee, even within the 24-hour window

  • Premier members: Unlimited fee-free cancellations—we've got you covered whenever plans change

How to cancel your visit

The best way to cancel or reschedule is to contact your Home Manager directly in the Service Request for that visit. They can help adjust your schedule quickly and efficiently.
